about

Renate made good company on tour due to her dry wit and cheerful manner - Theo focused on this and also included her sense of humour and skill as a musician. The reference to keys is because she is a piano player (not a locksmith).

The piece is almost Renaissance-style in its long, joining notes for the whole choir, but Theodore's love of late Romantic and jazz harmony shines through, with the word 'harmony' twice appearing on interesting chords.

lyrics

With subtlety comes harmony
With jollity comes company
And up and down, the fingers glide
Keys are like a magic instrument
With harmony comes company
Renate Turrini!

Gawain Davey Melbourne, Australia

Music to appreciate and savour.
A slower, softer sound spectrum... quirky, thoughtful words... restless melodies on a lush bed of changing harmony...
Darkness and light mingle.
Gawain writes classical music and contemporary songs.
